Post-modern physics will be remembered for many things, among which is for taking us beyond the quantitative understanding of reality; and whatsoever we find beyond this quantitative understanding of reality, is what I now also want to refer to as the entitical nature of reality since I usually refer to this beyond quantitative nature of reality as “the experiential nature of” reality.
The new theme or adjective ‘entitical’ and which is applied in the title of this article is just to simply give you a wider understanding of the implications of post-modern physics for the new experiential way which we now see the universe.
So, the discoveries of modern physics all seem to satisfy and prove our doubts against quantitative science which some of us may have conceived after thinking hard about the unification problem that confronted physics in the modern era.
Now, every picture of reality is built from the basic understanding of space and time from which we determine how we judge our experiences and also the application of the quantities of motion.
So, in this article, I want to simply discuss in another way the new picture of reality that emerges from the post-modern understanding or descriptions of space and time.
In my other article, I talked about the experiential universe, but I focused more on the character of gravi-electromagnetic wave and the Euclidean geometry of the cosmos.
But in this article, I want to delve deeper, in whatever way I possibly can, so that I can further show you the revolutionary implications of the true ontological description of reality or of space and time which are the basic elements of reality.
(The article below is very related to this article, and in fact, they are both about the beyond quantitative nature of the universe.)
Talking about ontology and its concern for the true character or beingness of the objects or elements of reality, one finds that the ontological character or experiential nature of space and time are not found in quantitative science and cannot be found in it because of its limited concern in what can be measured about reality and unapprovedly according to our own standards and methods of quantification.
Aspects of reality which when taken into consideration and that are beyond what we can actually measure are the new ingredients that change our picture of reality and also make the objects of scientific investigation come alive in a way I can only attach the new adjectival description that they become experiential entities and not non-experiential quantities.
The era in which science dealt with quantities is now over as the true experiential nature of the universe is being exposed to us. What does this all mean especially in regards to space and time which, as I have already said, are the basic elements of reality?
Before this post-modern era, we have always seen space and time as quantities of our own creation. We assign standardized proportions to them, and it is these measurements we make of space and time that are inserted into the mathematical structure of physics.
But now post-modern physics is informing us about the deeper ontological or experiential nature of space and time which when considered leads us to refer to space and time as entities and not quantities.
The deeper experiential nature of space and time is primarily due to the now revealed qualitative nature of space and time. So, space and time are quantities and also qualities, and this is different from what classical and modern physics inform us about them.
Now, the unified manifestation of quantity and quality by space and time is why I refer to them as entities. Classical and modern physics which are solely quantitative cannot reveal to us the complete character or beingness of space and time.
So, when you begin to consider the union of quantity and quality in space and time, you will arrive at viewing space and time as entities, and the new picture of reality that emerges becomes that which is based on the entitical nature of space and time or of reality which is the title of this article.
It is by understanding the entitical nature of space and time that you arrive at what one can call the true ontology of space and time which is missing in quantitative science.
Also, it is this entitical or experiential nature of space and time that is inserted into the mathematical structure of post-modern physics to give us a purely experiential science.
The whole laws of motion become entitical (or experiential) and not mechanistic, as we no longer talk about the quantity of velocity without also talking about the quality of velocity. Also, we can no longer talk about the quantity of acceleration without also talking about the quality of acceleration. This goes on even to momentum, force and energy.
This balanced recognition of the two aspects of reality, quantity and quality, is what now produces the entitical picture of reality. The true character of space and time not as quantities but as entities is what is found in post-modern physics or in The Theory of the Universe which the encompassing theory of everything.
This above is primarily how the long-sought theory of everything is different from other theories of physics and what we may have imagined that it should be.
We know that when physicists talk about the behaviour of space and time, they are usually referring only to the quantitative behaviour of space and time, but now this can no longer hold. In post-modern physics, when post-modern physicists talk about the behaviour of space and time, they are referring to their entitical behaviour.
We are now coming to understand space and time as entities and not as objects with only quantitative character. We can no longer continue to see space and time as just numbers, for reality is not numbers, reality is experience.
We can no longer continue to rely on the number of space and time as quantities that we wrongly suppose they are, but on the character of space and time as entities that are rightly what they are.
Post-modern physics is calling us to recognise the full measure of reality, and understand that reality is not the result of the ordered interactions of quantities but the result of the ordered interactions of entities.
The first order is the kind that physicists have wrongly thought pervades the universe, but the second order is the true order that pervades the universe.
The second order is the order that physicists should now come to recognize, and we should know that the mathematical nature of the universe is not manifested or based on our capacity to predict numerical data but on the entitical nature of the different aspects of reality which we can come to understand.
We are now looking at the mathematics of entities and not just the mathematics of quantities like we have done before. So, the order of the universe is the order of entities and not the order of quantities, and this is how the universe is alive! Science is deep and profound, and it can be more than we imagine!
We only have to let go of the mechanistic description of reality and begin to seek for the true entitical or experiential description of reality which is what the new science is all about. The order of the universe is the order of entities and not the order of quantities, and this is how the universe is alive!Click To Tweet
This is what I teach in this great science blog, I teach the entitical or experiential nature of reality and no other kind of science comes close to this.
To now be more explicit, beyond numbers, which is a metaphor for quantity, we find how space and time relate with inertia in a non-quantifiable way. Space is an entity that flows with regards to inertia while time is an entity that flows regardless of inertia, and these characters of space and time cannot be quantified in any possible way.
They cannot be revealed by our constant recognition of physical space and time. We have to let go of what is called physical reality and set ourselves on the march towards metaphysical reality which is where the entitical nature of space and time can be discovered and explored.
The entitical nature of space and time leads us to now see the other aspects of reality, like light and gravity, also in their entitical or experiential nature. A whole new body of scientific investigation is rising on the foundation of the entitical nature of reality, and this science is the true living science of the cosmos.
The new science will transform how we interact with the universe, which will really be unlike how we have interacted with the universe before.
I write this article to inform and to prepare you for the new world that the new science is birthing. Our generation is the first true scientific generation that has been called to understand the true nature of the cosmos which was hidden from the generations before us.
A new way of conceiving reality is being birthed, and the new perception of reality based on the entitical nature of space and time will completely transform and boost our imagination. It will make each of us “the new man”.
Finally, we must now apply ourselves in the right manner that fits the new science and that compels us to engage in a spiritual manner with the entities and not the quantities of the universe.
Until next time,
I will be here.
