Subtitle: Unifying the Two Scientific Truths in Classical and Modern Physics
Whenever we have to sprint over a difficult hurdle or experience a long lull before a scientific advancement, when the advancement comes, it is usually wise to look back and find out what we missed that made the advancement difficult in the first place.
This is the point we are now in post-modern physics. For the past 70 years or there about, physicists have been trying to unify physics and bring all the known and probably unknown principles of the universe under one simple and encompassing theory.
This grand theory is usually called the theory of everything but I choose to call it The Theory of the Universe. The good news is that we now have this grand theory and it has formed a new branch of physics called post-modern physics.
With benefit of hindsight now provided by post-modern physics, one can see why we missed the grand theory for so long. In other words, what are the ideas in classical and modern physics which if we had paid closer attention to would have made us discover the grand theory sooner?
The afore question is what I want to inform you about and at the same time give you a summarized understanding of post-modern physics and the universe. I want to show you the scientific truths that are central to your understanding of the universe.
These scientific truths constitute the foundation of post-modern physics and they are the golden threads that run through all my articles in this blog. Now, before I proceed, I want to formally inform you that physics now has three branches and not two.
Before we just had classical and modern physics, but now we have classical physics, modern physics and post-modern physics. These three branches of physics are depicted in the diagram below:
The new branch of physics called post-modern physics should in actual term be referred to as metaphysics since it is metaphysical unlike the other two branches of physics which are physical.
Nevertheless, the new scientific method permits physics to exists in post-modern physics but at a superficial level. Metaphysics and not physics constitutes the foundation of post-modern physics, for post-modern physics represents the break away from our physical conceptions of the universe.
You must understand post-modern physics as such, and I want you to know that the phenomena of nature and the laws of the universe described in this blog are presented through the platform of post-modern physics.
So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise or be a reason for an undue dissatisfaction when you find out that you can’t understand some of the things I say in my articles. My descriptions and interpretations of the universe are stemming from a new foundation of physics.
Post-modern physics due to its metaphysical foundation is discontinuous from the other two branches of physics. You should realize this and also seek to delve deeper with me into the new metaphysical description of the cosmos.
It is through the illumination provided to me by post-modern physics that I have now realized the fruitful ideas in classical and modern physics which if we had worked upon them would have probably provided us with The Theory of the Universe much earlier than now.
I will just look into the first two branches of physics and identify the single scientific truth in each of the era of physics, and then I will show you how post-modern physics is simply a consummation and proper interpretations of these truths in the other two branches of physics. Understand this.
The Scientific Truth in Classical Physics
In classical physics, we have one single scientific truth which is the proposition of absolute space and time. Our neglect or utter disregard of absolute space and time elongated and complicated the crises in physics. This utter disregard compounded the unification problem.
Though Newton’s description of absolute space and time are wrong, what this article seeks to point out is that we should have continued in the investigation of absolute space and time.
We should have collected the baton and continued from where Newton stopped. So, because of this disregard, even in modern physics, we now have post-modern physics giving us the first re-description of absolute space and time since Newton.
The existence of absolute space and time is a scientific truth that was buried in classical physics which post-modern physics has now resurrected and redefined. We should no longer neglect this scientific truth like we did before.
I know that we were more predisposed to neglect the scientific truth about the existence of absolute space and time because as Newton had notice they cannot be physically observed.
Post-modern physics has changed this situation by presenting formally what it means to metaphysically observe. In other words, the right way to perceive absolute space and time has now been revealed to us.
Absolute space and time are not like relative space and time that can be physically observed. Post-modern physics with its metaphysical foundation now establishes in equal right the investigation of absolute space and time just as the investigation of relative space and time is established in other eras of physics.
This makes post-modern physics a new kind of science founded on absolute space and time, and in a manner beyond Newton’s propositions. This classical scientific truth has returned afresh to physics.
The unity of the cosmos cannot be perceived with the physical eyes or by physical observation, rather it can be perceived with the discerning eyes of the mind and by metaphysical observation. There is really such a thing as metaphysical observation.
The Scientific Truth in Modern Physics
The scientific community tends to place Einstein relativity as a classical theory. I do not subscribe to this. To me, relativity is a modern theory because of the revolutionary break from classical Newtonian paradigm it provides and also because in it lies another fundamental truth not found in classical physics.
What is this scientific truth? This scientific truth is the proposed independent existence of light. Before Einstein, light had been assumed to be a wave moving in a pervading medium called the aether.
Einstein was the first scientist to dismiss the classical notion that light moves in the aether and declared light as an independent wave. This thesis by Einstein formed the base of Einsteinian relativity.
It is because of Einstein’s dismissal of the classical aether that I, myself, embrace his theory more than that of Hendrick Lorentz. Lorentz had proposed the theory of relativity before Einstein did, but in Lorentz relativity, the notion of classical aether is still preserved, so in Lorentz relativity, light does not have an independent existence.
The scientific truth of the independent existence of light must have subconsciously caused the victory of Einstein’s relativity over other versions of relativity, just as the scientific truth of absolute space must have also subconsciously caused the victory of Newton’s philosophy over that of Leibniz.
The victory of these two scientific truths was not a coincidence. In post-modern physics, we must not undermine or neglect this great truth in modern physics. Light is an independent wave and does not represent the motion or vibratory energy of the classical aether.
The Rift between the Two Scientific Truths
Now, one may wonder why these two scientific truths did not unify when modern relativity was introduced. Instead, the modern scientific truth of the independent existence of light displaced the classical scientific truth about the existence of absolute space and time.
This shouldn’t have happened and it only happened because both scientific truths were not properly interpreted. We needed the true description of absolute space and time and the revelation of the true essence of light.
The absence of these proper interpretations of the two scientific truths and not any other factor was what made Einstein’s relativity contradictory to Newton’s concepts of absolute space and time.
The unification problem became strongly persistent because only the modern scientific truth remained. The classical scientific truth was discarded. This is probably one of the greatest tragedies of physics.
Post-modern Physics: Resolving the Rift
Post-modern physics resolves the rift and causes physics to progress on the basis of these two scientific truths. This is important. This achievement by post-modern physics resolved the problem of unifying physics with one shot.
Post-modern physics now assists us to confront the mystery of absolute space and time and it takes us into dark domains of the universe Newton couldn’t. And it also provides us with the true nature of light.
After accomplishing the above feats, it becomes clear that the two scientific truths are not in any conflict. The conflict is only apparent and it exists in our false conceptions of space, time and light.
The post-modern radical redescription of these entities reveals to us the deep before unnoticed significance of relativity. Relativity stands as a more fundamental theory than quantum mechanics.
Furthermore, the post-modern resolution of the rift between these two scientific truths results in further consequences for relativity. These consequences are now the cornerstone understanding of the cosmos.
Post-modern physics now reveals to us the existence of another independent wave in the universe. This makes two independent, non-mechanical waves in the universe, and these two independent waves are now placed within the context absolute space and time which are now proposed to have two forms.
We cannot neglect either the scientific truth of classical and modern physics. This is a very important conclusion emerging from the new physics, and by combining these two scientific truths with the inputs from post-modern physics we now have a complete and simplified understanding of the universe.
The Great Scientific Truth
This complete and simplified understanding of the universe goes thus: There are two forms of space and time in the universe, and while one form of space and time represent the dynamics of the motion of light, the other form of space and time represent the dynamics of the motion of gravi-electromagnetic wave.
The unification of these two scientific truths in classical and modern physics gives us the great scientific truth of post-modern physics. The existence of two forms of absolute space and time and two independent non-mechanical waves in the universe constitute the great scientific truth.
Light and gravi-electromagnetic waves are the two independent waves in the universe. A good look at the above basic post-modern understanding of the universe shows that post-modern physics literally extends the scientific truths in classical and modern physics.
Post-modern physics extends Newton’s concepts of absolute space and time which according to Newton have one form to two forms, and it extends Einstein concept of an independent non-mechanical wave which he thought only applies to light (or the electromagnetic wave) to also apply to another non-mechanical wave called the gravi-electromagnetic wave.
(I sometimes refer to the gravi-electromagnetic wave as the post-modern aether because it is the constitution of matter).
I really want you to see this. This is why I have written this article. Post-modern physics identifies the two great scientific truths in classical and modern physics and it refines and extends them in a manner that reveals to us all the unity of the universe.
Also, I must point out again that post-modern physics redefines our understanding of absolute space and time and also light. Without these re-definitions, it would have been impossible to see the significance of these two great scientific truths.
Now we understand the universe and there is no more darkness in the inner recesses of our minds. I want you to understand and see the importance of what I teach you in this great science blog.
All that I inform you about the universe are not hypotheses in the actual sense, they are truth and they are life. The great scientific truth and its further understanding will give us immense rest in the universe as our sciences become more aligned with the way of the universe.
This is the golden age of science and nothing can any longer hinder our progress in understanding so long as we embrace the metaphysical nature of reality. This is the great promise for us all!
