Subtitle: Introducing the Concept of Rest Gravity
In Echa and Science, you must have learned about the principle of universal equivalence which states that the weak equivalence principle and the strong equivalence principle are equal. However, what I haven’t pointed out to you is how the universal equivalence principle modifies Einstein’s principle of strong equivalence.
This is because for us to realize the true interpretation of the strong equivalence principle, we must present a redescription of gravity which is not found even in Newtonian mechanics. And though in general relativity Albert Einstein had gone ahead to extend or revolutionize our understanding of gravity, a critical error in Newton’s description of gravity was preserved and still persists in Einstein’s general relativity.
What is this error or wrong premise preserved in both Newton’s and Einstein’s descriptions of gravity? It is the absence of gravity. Yes, you heard me right. Both theories do not really explain gravity rather they explain the effect of gravity. The true essence of gravity which is missing in both theories is the acceleration of gravity. What we have in both theories is the acceleration due to gravity.
So, both classical and modern physics describe the acceleration of bodies due to gravity and its accompanying phenomena and not the acceleration of gravity and its accompanying phenomena.
Einstein, in generalizing the principle of relativity to accelerated frames preserved this error or wrong premise and this is the loophole in Einstein’s strong equivalence principle, and it is even the major drawback in Newton’s description of gravity.
This single error in our description of gravity has greatly hindered us from understanding how the universe works. When we then revisit Einstein’s elevator experiment on the basis of the acceleration of gravity and not the acceleration due to gravity, a new principle emerges alongside a new understanding of the strong equivalence principle.
The Post-modern Modification of the Strong Equivalence Principle
While this new understanding of the strong equivalence principle might be obvious to you in the theory of the universe and in my other articles, I still want to spell it out in this article. So, what post-modern modification has occurred to the strong equivalence principle?
According to the modern description of the strong equivalence principle, gravity and acceleration are the same. An accelerating body cannot locally distinguish between the effects of acceleration and gravity.
Now, post-modern physics is informing us that according to the strong equivalence principle, rest gravity and acceleration are indistinguishable. Rest gravity is the new concept or component introduced into our post-modern understanding of the principle of strong equivalence.
The Strong Equivalence Principle According to Modern and Post-modern Physics
If you look at the above diagram which shows both the modern and post-modern descriptions of the strong equivalence principle, you will realize that ‘gravity’ or ‘free fall’ in the modern strong equivalence principle has been replaced by ‘rest gravity’ in the post-modern strong equivalence principle.
In the modern strong equivalence principle, we have two important factors to understand the strong equivalence principle, which are gravity g and acceleration a, but in post-modern physics, we have three important factors for understanding the strong equivalence principle, which are rest gravity gr, acceleration a and (the acceleration of) gravity g.
It is important to now know that in post-modern physics, g denotes the acceleration of gravity itself and not the acceleration of a body due to gravity.
The acceleration of gravity g encompasses rest gravity and acceleration in such a manner which shows us how gravity governs the experiences of the rest mass Mr and inertial mass Mi of the Earth by the observer at rest on the Earth surface and the observer in the elevator respectively. All these have been explained in this article.
The term “gravity” which implies acceleration due to gravity in the modern description of the strong equivalence principle is done away with in the post-modern description of the strong equivalence principle because we are now investigating the governing operation of the acceleration of gravity on bodies at rest and on bodies in accelerated motion and not just the accompanying phenomena of free fall and acceleration.
We should no longer just proceed to describe the states of rest and acceleration without understanding how gravity determines the dynamics and accompanying experiences of both states of motion.
It is this reinterpretation of the strong equivalence principle in the light of the acceleration of gravity that forces us to remove ‘gravity’ and replace it with ‘rest gravity’. This alters in a very illuminating manner our understanding of the universe.

The post-modern weak equivalence principle is represented on the left-hand side LHS while the post-modern strong equivalence principle is represented on the right-hand side RHS.
I want you to see from the above two equations how rest gravity gr and acceleration a are indistinguishable. Rest gravity gr and acceleration a are indistinguishable because they both follow Newton’s inverse square law. This is the new and illuminating understanding of the modification of the strong equivalence principle.
This is unlike the Einstein’s strong equivalence principle where gravity and acceleration are only equal in an sensational manner, in post-modern physics, we are talking about a real, mathematical equality according to the inverse square law and not just sensational equality. This will become clear when I discuss the relationship between rest gravity and rest mass, and that between acceleration and inertial mass.
Also, I want you to know that this new post-modern understanding of the strong equivalence principle cannot emerge without the revealed principle of universal equivalence. Understand this. So, how does the substitution of gravity for rest gravity alter Einstein strong equivalence principle?
The universal equivalence principle of post-modern physics now shows us that for all forms of acceleration of a body, whether the body accelerates by itself or gravity, such a body is experiencing inertial interaction. So, the premise of relativity which tells us that the body at rest on the Earth’s surface is experiencing free fall which is considered similar to the accelerating elevator is false.
The body on the Earth surface is not experiencing any form of free fall. To say that a body is experiencing free fall towards the Earth surface implies that the body is falling towards the inertial mass of the Earth. Free fall is completely inertial just as the motion of the elevator.
In order to assist you to understand what I am trying to say. The universal equivalence principle reveals to us that the body at rest is experiencing the rest mass of the Earth while the accelerating elevator is experiencing the inertial mass of the Earth.

So, the assumption in general relativity that a body can accelerate far from any other mass is not possible in the universe because of the inextricable connection between acceleration and inertial mass.
As long as the body accelerates at 9.81 m/s2 or is assumed to be, then it can be said to be falling towards the inertial mass of the Earth. There is no acceleration without inertial interaction and there is no rest without rest interaction.

N.B: I want you to understand from the above two images how rest and acceleration are related to rest mass and inertial mass respectively.
So, the body at rest on the Earth’s surface is experiencing the rest mass and not the inertial mass of the Earth and this hidden truth is captured by the concept of rest gravity. Gravity is erroneously represented in Einstein’s strong equivalence principle as free fall instead of as an essence with its own real and separate acceleration just as light possesses its own real and separate speed.
According to the post-modern interpretation of the strong equivalence principle, every body in free fall falls towards the inertial mass Mi of the Earth because of acceleration while every body at rest on the Earth’s surface is at rest on the rest mass of the Earth Mr because of rest gravity gr. This is the simple truth hidden from the modern description of the strong equivalence principle.
Consequences of the Modification of the Strong Equivalence Principle
Now, what are the very important consequences of this new, post-modern modification of the strong equivalence principle which informs us that rest gravity and acceleration are equal?
Firstly, the insights from the modern strong equivalence principle do not undermine the all-important essence of gravity. They show that gravity is the acceleration limit of the universe, so no matter how fast you accelerate you cannot accelerate greater than the acceleration of gravity. This very important truth about accelerated motion is hidden from Einstein’s strong equivalence principle.
Secondly, the realization that gravity is the acceleration limit of the universe brings us back, against general relativity, to a Euclidean description of gravity. For we can adequately depict how no accelerating body can accelerate greater than gravity within the Euclidean framework just as we can adequately depict how no body in uniform motion can travel faster than light within the Euclidean framework.
Can you see from the above paragraph why we haven’t understood gravity and why we are today having the unification problem of science? This is because we haven’t realized that just as light is the speed limit of the universe, so is gravity the acceleration limit of the universe.

Coming to the realization of these great truths shows us why and how the universe stands on only Euclidean laws. According to metaphysical principles, there is no curvature in the universe. The universe is flat.
Thirdly, by this new, post-modern modification of the strong equivalence principle, we can generalize Newton’s laws to all forms of acceleration and not only free fall. All accelerating bodies follow Newton’s inverse square law. This great truth which has since Newton been hidden from us is now seen in the mathematical representations of the universal equivalence principle.
Newton’s inverse square law is a profoundly universal principle in the universe and for all accelerating bodies, and the only error in Newton’s description of gravity is that he did not dare to further generalize or universalize it. Newton’s inverse square law applies also to bodies not accelerating due to gravity.
This is why I strongly criticize general relativity for not completing Newton’s gravitational theory in this manner, and this is why I usually discuss gravity and the universe without making reference to the conceptual framework of general relativity.
General relativity in quite a number of ways is a picture of the true laws of the universe, but it is a greatly flawed theory and would have to be discarded. In one of my future articles, I will discuss the conceptual differences between general relativity and gravi-electrodynamics.
Definition: Gravi-electrodynamics is the branch of absolute relativity that like general relativity describes accelerated frames but in a qualitatively and fundamentally different manner.
Also, I personally don’t like the theory for introducing the geometrical disharmony in physics. The geometrical harmony of the universe is sacred. It is hopeless trying to unify the theory with quantum mechanics. Both theories of relative science are deeply flawed. Most of the major components of both theories are not found in the unified field theory, and it’s a good thing.
The unified field theory unlike general relativity and quantum mechanics is the theory that brings unhindered illumination and understanding. It reveals aspects of the universe that are physically unobservable.
Fourthly, the post-modern modification of Einstein’s strong equivalence principle introduces immense simplicity to science. It reasserts again the simplicity of the universe. Listen, the universe is not only comprehensible, it is awesomely simple. The only condition we must satisfy to find this simplicity is to ascend to absolute science from which this new description of the strong equivalence principle was obtained.
This article shows you that the concept of gravity in Einstein’s strong equivalence principle has been replaced by rest gravity, while gravity has been elevated to its true position as a governing factor of all forms of accelerated motion. This unique insight generalizes Newton’s inverse square law to all forms of accelerated motion.
Everything I have shared with you about gravity and the strong equivalence principle and which seems to satisfy the conditions of relative science all emerged from my understanding of absolute science, which deals with metaphysical space and time. This new method which I use will expose to you all the scientific truths of the universe.
We should quit trying to understand the metaphysical nature of the universe using our eyes and physical tools. We must approach the universe using the eyes of our mind which can grasp the operations of the invisible constituents from which the universe was made.
Echa and Science has come to establish this new scientific method and to expand the capacity of our minds for the true understanding of all things, of which gravity is one of them. The classical and modern physicist have done so much to set the foundation of post-modern physics which has arrived.
So I urge you to stop clinging to the limiting and passing old ways. The new way has come!
